WELCOME TO
ROTARY CLUB OF COIMBATORE TEXCITY

I am inspired by the quote by Eleanor Roosevelt which says "To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart." This year and going forward I will emulate this and follow it diligently.

I would like to recollect the month of July 2008 when I was inducted into Texcity as a member on its then installation day. Thanks to my good friend Rtn Brijesh for introducing me to the wonderful world of Rotary and Texcity. Time really flies fast so let’s make the most out of it and make each day memorable.

I would like to sincerely appreciate all the officer bearers for coming forward and accepting to be part of this year’s wonderful team.

I would like to recall the following from my Vote of Thanks speech when I took over as secretary in 2014 which still holds good for this year as well. It goes like this “In the coming year, forgive me if make mistakes as they may not be intentional and only an oversight. Feel free to Correct me when I go wrong as I will learn from my mistakes. Together let us make this a memorable year.”

We Texcitians have synergy and are a family club like no other. When we all come together for a common purpose, the strength multiplies. This year the District Governor has come up with a wonderful theme named BLOSSOM, which resonates in a big way and Texcity shall blossom across all avenues and stay fresh throughout the year.

My journey in Rotary has been amazing thus far with so many memories to share. I have made loads of friends and have gathered wonderful experiences across the years. Just like you all Bharthi, Jai Adarsh, Nakshatra and myself look forward to a magical year. Let us together touch as many people as possible and make an impact in their lives that will significantly change their livelihood. The members from our club are from diverse backgrounds. Imagine the wonders that we can do and the mountains that we can move based on the the resources that we have.

I have always been inspired by Nature and the magic it does. I would to remind myself to look deep into nature to understand everything better. Nature does not hurry, yet everything is still accomplished. Wherever I go, no matter what the weather, I shall strive to bring sunshine.
