Building For Spine Injury Victims
The Rotary Coimbatore Texcity project aimed to construct a building dedicated to housing 20 accident victims of spine injuries for the Spine academy run by the Dawn Trust, at Annur which is already looking after 54 patients. This initiative was driven by the need to provide specialized care and support for individuals facing such challenges.

Flag exchange and Joint project with Rotary Club Of Nagpur Black Gold. 15 Rotarians and Anns from Rotary Coimbatore Texcity visited Rotary Nagpur Black Gold and exchanged Club flags. A joint project to support the partially blind was carried out.

Eye Camp & Diwali celebrations at the Peace Foundation
Rtn.Dr.Manoj Vakil, Ann Padmini Vakil, and their team conducted an Eye camp for Foundation inmates, screening 400 individuals, with 20 needing cataract surgery and ten mentally challenged inmates awaiting planned surgeries in the following weeks.

A Bhoomi Pooja
On January 8th, a Bhoomi Pooja marked the start of construction at the Spine Academy, funded by Rtn.Dr.Ramamurthy & Dr. Chitra's 20-lakh pledge from The Eye Foundation's CSR funds, accommodating 20 additional spinal injury patients and renovating the kitchen block.

Environment -Tree Planting
The Coimbatore Corporation has floated a scheme which is called Kanaga Kovai Project. In this scheme the Corpoation is willing to give the reserved sites in the city to Corporates, NGOs, and public trusts to plant trees to increase the green cover and reduce the carbon foot print in the city.

We at Rotary Texcity donated a computer to rural Government primary school in Pasur which lacks basic facilities.

Annadhanam
The new Rotary year was kick started by the Rotarians getting together to do some Annadhanam. It was decided to support Nilalmayam an NGO, with 25 kgs of rice every week.
